Symposium Accommodations
Large blocks of rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites and Holiday Inn Express* in Chapel Hill have been blocked off for our guests at UNC rates. Rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites will cost $92 per night; single and double rooms are available. The Holiday Inn Express costs $84 per night; a mix of rooms is also available in that hotel. * A note on reserving at either the Hampton Inn and Suites or the Holiday Inn Express: These hotels are located several miles from the Symposium's location at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. A free shuttle will be provided for guests; however, space is limited on the shuttle, so those wishing to use the service should be ready to board at the hotel's entrance an hour before the Symposium begins. This will ensure that all guests, even if they have to wait for the shuttle to make several trips before they can board, will still arrive at the Symposium on time.
A small number of rooms have also been reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott Chapel Hill, located directly next to the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. Those wishing to check in on November 5 and leave on November 7 will be charged a group rate of $129 per room. Those wishing to stay longer will be required to book two additional nights at $189 per night since there is a UNC football game on November 8.
